it’s more accessible than you think! Let’s break down the budget so you can start your journey with confidence. 💪

1. The Basics: Your Wine, Your Brand, Your Vision 📦🍾

To launch your own brand, the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is just 3,600 bottles. That’s actually a super-small quantity for such a personalized, handcrafted product! 🍇 Think about it – a batch of wine that is uniquely yours and stands out in the market.

Here’s a cost breakdown for entry-level red wine, Ex-Works (EXW):

  • Wine cost per bottle: ~1.50€ (our cheapest red blend for the MOQ, can go bellow for bigger quantity)

  • Packaging (bottle, cork, capsule, carton box, pallets): Included in the EXW price

  • Exclusive label design (front & back): Also included

So, for 3,600 bottles, your total wine + packaging cost comes to around 7,000€.

2. Transportation: Bringing Your Dream to Life 🚛✈️

Once your wine is bottled and ready, it needs to reach you or your market. Transportation costs vary depending on:

  • Destination: Are you shipping nearby in Europe, or across the ocean to the US or Asia? 🌍

  • Method: Sea freight (economical but slower) or airfreight (faster but pricier).

  • Extras: Customs clearance, insurance, and handling fees.

A good estimate is 1,000€ to 2,000€ for transportation.

3. Taxes, Storage, and Distribution 💸🏢

To get your wine into your customers’ hands, consider these additional costs:

  • Import taxes and duties: Depending on your country’s trade agreements with France.

  • Storage fees: If you don’t sell all 3,600 bottles immediately, they’ll need a home.

  • Distribution fees: Delivering your wine to stores, restaurants, or end customers.

You should plan for an extra 2,000€ to 3,000€ to cover these essentials.

4. Final Budget: The Bottom Line 💰🍷

Adding it all up:

  • Wine + packaging: ~7,000€

  • Transportation: ~1,000€ to 2,000€

  • Taxes, storage, and distribution: ~2,000€ to 3,000€

🎯 Estimated minimum budget: 10,000€ to 12,000€

5. Why This Investment is a Game-Changer 🚀💎

Here’s the best part: The wine business offers incredible profit potential! 🍷💸

On average, your net profit will be at least 30%, and some brands enjoy margins of 60% or more. Compare that to the volatility of the stock market, crypto, or real estate.

This is a real business with a valuable, sexy product that sells itself.
